When Chelsea and Ross contacted us about their date and their wedding venue, we were ridiculously excited! What a rad way to start 2020!

The Marigny Opera House is an old church that was converted into an opera house and then an event venue. It’s a magnificent combo of old Louisiana charm and modern-day chic. The Marigny Opera House has grand arches running up either side of the main room with high, rounded ceilings and rounded windows running the full length of the building. It also has a fantastic outdoor courtyard that is always a favorite of couples. With its natural light during the day and elegant, romantic feel in the evening—the Marigny Opera House is one of the most eclectic, fun, and distinctive wedding venues in New Orleans.

And, the Marigny Opera House was simply the BEST wedding venue that Chelsea and Ross could have chosen for their wedding festivities! It suited them so well!

Let’s talk about Chelsea for a moment! She has more energy than anyone we know! For reals! She was so full of life and bouncing around with so much happiness on her wedding day that we thought she might actually bounce up into the clouds. That girl’s smile and laughter are so infectious that we found ourselves belly laughing along with her all day long and our abs hurt a little the next day. Chelsea wore a full-sleeved, crazy beautiful and extremely detailed and delicate lacy dress with tufted tulle from Lazaro Bridal. The dress perfectly fit not only her body, but also her personality—an amazing mix of timeless elegance and flowy fun, just like her!

Ross was laid back, but still super cool and easy to hang out with. He also got really excited for photos, so that made our job so much easier.

Our happy couple got ready at Hotel Peter and Paul—another of our favorite wedding venues in New Orleans. Hotel Peter and Paul is a delightful mix of different decors and architecture and it’s such an eclectic collection of both that we always find something new that we haven’t noticed during previous visits.

To say the day was unprecedented would be a colossal understatement. The golden warmth of the decor; the extremely talented choir and band; the legendary Second Line dance party; the crazy energetic celebration; the love; the laughter; the feels—it was all EPIC.
