It was a bluebird day with a slight breeze stirring the trees around Felicity Church where our gorgeous and laid-back bride, Paige, was more than ready to say “I do” and start forever off right with her groom, Joey.

And what a day it was!

Felicity Church is an old, gothic-style church that was built in 1888 but recently refurbished in 2011 (after suffering catastrophic damage during Hurricane Katrina in 1995) and converted into a popular wedding venue in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. The church is all texture and light with exposed beam ceilings, brick walls, stained glass windows and original wood bannisters and pine floors. It is a gorgeous wedding venue and it was a perfect setting for Paige & Joey’s wedding.

We are always so happy to work with the couples who hire us to capture their day and Paige and Joey were just amazing clients! Paige was so relaxed and down to earth and one of the happiest brides we’ve worked with this year. While she was getting ready, she was so relaxed and we could see that she just wanted to have a great time with her friends and family and that she was SO EXCITED to marry Joey! Her excitement was contagious. Paige and Joey were, literally, up for anything we suggested for wedding photos and when our couples trust us and give us creative license, it always ups our game. Their photos ooze love and emotion and so much fun—exactly what we want with all the wedding photos we capture.

The Felicity Church was a fantastic backdrop for Paige & Joey’s heartfelt First Look, their emotional and humorous ceremony, and one heck of a fun reception. They even had a sparkler exit into the streets of NOLA! We left on a high, smiling from ear to ear, and we couldn’t wait to sit down and have a look at the images from their day.
