Nothing warms our hearts more than spending time with families, documenting the small “everyday” moments we easily overlook. Those moments are always the ones we hold onto most, the ones we look back fondly on. Miranda reached out to me months ago to do a family session and after some brainstorming, we both felt keeping it low key and in home was the way to go. She definitely made a fantastic choice.

I arrived at their home in Lafayette and was greeted at the door by the most adorable excited little face with the biggest smile. It had been a year since we last saw Lena, Miranda and Cole’s sweet little girl and she was bursting with personality. After being introduced to her toys and showing us her room, it was time to bake some cookies together. If you’ve been wondering about doing an in home family session, DO IT. It was so much fun and we laughed and giggled the whole time together as Lena picked out what cookie cutters she wanted to use and rolling out the dough. We breaked from all the cookie making for a bit and went outside to play soccer and run in the sun with the family. After burning off all our energy, we ran back inside and put the cookies in the oven, and got to see Lena’s hard work. High fives all around. This was such a fun and sweet little session and we truly hope we can do something like this again soon.
