“Find someone and live in awe of them.” – Atticus

Getting the opportunity to peer into people’s lives, especially when a wedding is in the works, is one of the greatest privileges we possess. Back in the fall of 2014, we met Alex at her sister, Cat’s wedding in North Louisiana, so when Alex emailed us earlier this year stating she was engaged, we were over the moon excited for her and her fiancé, Wiley! After tossing around ideas for their engagement session, it only made sense to do them in their hometown of Spartanburg, South Carolina, a place they’re proud to call home, so we hopped on a plane and met up with them earlier this month.

Our first stop was their new home, and it was definitely an adorable one. This home, built in the 40’s, has these two written all over it and it oozes charm and sweetness. We walked their soon-to-be neighborhood, cutting up and getting to know Alex and Wiley better. After walking through the autumn-filled neighborhood, we hopped in our cars and drove down the road to the college that they met at, and listened to stories of where they’d walk, what buildings they worked in and all the while admiring the fall colors to be seen everywhere.

We wrapped up the evening downtown where all the night lights were, and ended a wonderful fun filled afternoon with dinner together. Alex and Wiley, thank you for showing us around your home, a place you’re proud of. A place that’s truly you. We can’t wait for your destination wedding in North Carolina in May
