From the moment we arrived to meet Aleisha and Cliff early that afternoon, we knew it was going to be a day full of laughter and tears. Aleisha was quite possibly one of the happiest brides we’ve had the opportunity to work with. The morning was filled with laughter and singing, as everyone excitedly got ready for the first look and the ceremony later that evening.

 The first look was such a special moment for Aleisha and Cliff. They set enough time aside to spend together soaking up the moments following their first look, before they walked down the aisle later that night. We tell all of our couples who decide to go with a first look that it’s not about the photos you get from it, but rather, its about the moments you share together during that time. It’s so much less pressure for both the bride and the groom, and that allows for couples to be themselves.

 The first look happened almost an hour before the sun went down and the scenery was perfect. We had an incredible lake, sky and sunset as our backdrop. There is something about our Louisiana sky here that is truly unforgettable. The colors are so beautiful and vibrant, almost like it’s just showing off.

After their ceremony, the day quickly rolled by, from the small church ceremony to the backyard barn reception that night. Everyone danced the night away and every guest was grinning from ear to ear, enjoying their time spent celebrating the newlyweds. Cliff and Aleisha ended the night with a sparkler exit and a firework show. During the firework show, Aleisha and Cliff turned around to see the 200 or so guest watching them from behind, and Aleisha was so moved to see all of her friends family and loved ones here to support their day and this special time in their lives. Thank you so much guys for having us out there to celebrate with y’all! It was such a fun night!
