The most important thing is who you have beside you.

Sometimes your path crosses with another’s who remind you of all the reasons you began doing what you do. Taylor and Jason are those people.

Their first look was one we’ll never forget. They shared their first look hands shaking, tears streaming down their face, while their closest friends watched from a distance two people living in that wonderful moment.

Let’s rewind a few hours though…

Taylor and Jason had been planning to have the wedding out at Avery Island under the massive oaks and the warm sunset. But with unpredictable weather in the state of Louisiana, you don’t know what you’ll get. Well, it rained. And rained. And rained some more. The area at Avery Island was completely flooded, so the wedding last minute was moved to Abacus, where the reception would be held later that night. Upon our arrival to Abacus to meet Taylor, we greeted her with warm and tight hugs, reassuring her that the most important thing is who you have beside you, and today that would be family, friends and each other. That weddings don’t always go as planned but that’s what makes them so perfect to begin with. She emphatically agreed and pressed on through the days festivities. We knew the outdoors truly spoke to Taylor and Jason, so as we noticed the rain slacking off, off we were to the nearest location for their first look.

Fast forward to now…

Making our way back to Abacus, we now prepared for the ceremony, which was quite cozy filled with family, friends and lots and lots of warm smiles. They chose to walk to “Married Life” from the movie UP (cue the waterworks) and the ceremony and rest of the night was nothing short of beautiful.

Taylor and Jason, thank you for reminding us of all the great reasons why we love peering into the happiest day of people’s lives. Thank you for being so kind hearted and genuine in everything you do. Thank you for remembering the most important thing.
