“You are my love story.” -A.R. Asher

When we first met Kristen and Allen on their engagement session last year, we immediately hit it off. We laughed so much together, cracking up at our terribly corny jokes and loved hearing their plans for their big day as it came together. Now the day had finally arrived, and man was it a fun one.

We arrived to Rip Van Winkle Gardens to meet Kristen as she hung out with her closest friends and family. Allen was with his groomsmen and close family back at the family home down the road, and eventually, it came time for their first look at Rip Van Winkle. We picked a cozy and private area of the gardens for their first look and Allen’s reaction to seeing Kristen for the first time was absolutely perfect. He grinned from ear to ear when he saw her. But Kristen had another surprise waiting for him. She gave him a card to read and then handed him a box to open. Inside laid a photo of his brand new golden retriever puppy. Kristen had been planning this gift idea for weeks, and Allen was definitely blown away.

The ceremony followed and everyone present was beaming with joy and happiness for the newlyweds as they exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife. After the ceremony we snuck out into the gardens to take a few photos with just the two of them and then off to the party we went, and party they did. Every detail was so perfect and well thought out and everyone present had the time of their life. What an awesome day. Thank you Kristen and Allen for having us as a part of it!
