“I’m aware that I’m rare.”
Being different.
Some may say it isn’t a great idea to stand out from the rest. Some feel you need to blend in. I beg to differ.
We all have something to bring to the table. When I announced on Instagram that I was searching for a redhead early on last year, a friend told me about Hannah and it was instant connection. After months of trying to match up our schedules, we finally met in person in December and I’m so glad we did. I told Hannah this wasn’t your typical photo shoot. I wanted to capture her in a way that she wanted everyone to see her but not how she is usually perceived. Besides those crazy, beautiful wild red locks, there’s definitely more to Hannah than meets the eye.
She is bold.
I loved the flare Hannah brought to this session. I am absolutely positive of how confident Hannah is in her own skin, not wanting to be anyone else but herself. And as it should be. We all can be proud of ourselves in some way, and when you find it, hold onto it. I hope everyone can take a good look in the mirror, find something, anything you like about yourself and focus on that one thing for just a bit. That one thing makes you something special. It makes you, you. Whether it’s your hair color, freckles, your height or a trait of your personality, without that one thing, you would not be who you are standing in front of that mirror. You are valuable as you are. Don’t tell yourself, I’m not. Because you are. Stop telling yourself, I can’t. Because actually, you can.
She is humble.
Humility is such a refreshing quality to find in another human being and it’s such a crucial trait I so wished more people would cultivate. Humility is such an endearing and attractive quality that can very quickly outweigh any other. Having a sense of boldness and humility go hand in hand. I’m so happy Hannah can personify that combo for others to see. She is truly one of a kind.
