“Home is not where you are from, it is where you belong. Some of us travel the whole world to find it. Others, find it in a person.” – Beau Taplin
Our travels take us to some amazing locations. But our favorite thing is the people we encounter along the way. We got to hang out with Forest and Tamara, along with so many more amazing people during our stay in Oregon a couple of weeks ago, and bonded over our mutual love of photography and the documentation of fleeting moments. We immediately started making plans to do a session with these two, and we settled to spend some time with them at their home.
Doing sessions in your home opens up more doorways to capturing a more raw emotion than the ones we normally see out and about in our everyday lives. As storytellers, we are entering into a comfort zone that not many people get to peer into, and we loved every second of it. We want to see more of this. It was real, unscripted, raw.
We can’t thank these two enough for allowing us into their lives, and even more, into their home. We love what came of it all and are thrilled with the outcome. Thanks again Forest and Tamara, and we can’t wait to come back and visit soon.
