“I just need you and some sunsets.” – Atticus
Fall is always an exciting season, the weather begins to get cooler, the colors begin to change, and wedding season is in full swing. Kristen and Paul’s wedding kicked off our fall season this year and it was truly a great day for a wedding. We arrived at Rip Van Winkle and met Kristen and her bridesmaids hanging out in one of the cottages on the grounds while listening to them share stories with each other and sharing loads of laughter. After Geoffrey snapped a few photos of Paul and his groomsmen hanging out and getting ready in a cottage nearby, it was time for their first look. Kristen waited for Paul to come around the corner, with their adorable pup Munchkin, while sitting in one of the 2 white rocking chairs she had as a surprise for Paul. It was truly one of the sweetest first looks we had the privilege of witnessing and we loved how Kristen put such a unique twist on the typical first look.
After a few family photos, it was time for the ceremony. The sun was setting right on the lake as Kristen and Paul vowed to spend forever together and it was nothing short of beautiful. As the evening faded into dusk, we hurried out to take a few more photos of the bride and groom together before the sun set, while family and friends enjoyed the outdoor reception close by. Paul and Kristen danced the night away, surrounded by some of the happiest people, and it was such an honor to capture their day. Congratulations you two!
