We had such an amazing time with Erica and Ryan on their wedding day in New Orleans. They flew in from Chicago for their mid-week wedding with just a handful of their family in tow to celebrate such a special day in such a fun city. (More weekday weddings please!)

We met Erica where she was getting ready that morning at the Melrose Mansion where she visited with her mother and sisters as they all got prepped for the days upcoming celebration. Erica soon got dressed and we snapped a few portraits of her in her bridal attire before heading out for their first look in City Park. We were watching the forecast that day since it had called for scattered showers, and it poured for their first look. But these two weren’t worried about that one bit. They knew that the most important thing that day was just being with each other, and it showed. Without a care in the world or what was going on around them, life was pure bliss as they saw each other for the first time that day. The rain finally let up a bit, so they grabbed their umbrellas and we ran out under the oak trees nearby and took a brief stroll through all the greenery, before it was time to head to the ceremony location. But not before taking just a handful of photos walking the streets of New Orleans. Their ceremony was beautiful and intimate, with about 15 people present and we all watched Erica and Ryan exchange beautiful vows and make life long promises to love each other.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered for a quick toast in the courtyard of the ceremony location, followed by a second line that lead us through the streets to the celebration dinner at Tableau. People danced in the streets with them, cheered them on, came out onto their balconies to watch Erica and Ryan dance in the streets of Nola. We snapped a few photos of them as the sun went down before heading upstairs to their family dinner. What a beautiful day spent with beautiful people. Congratulations you guys!
