These guys know what it means to have a wedding. I mean… Fly down from Brooklyn, New York with all your friends and your family and your adorable pup, Noodle to the South for a party? Oh, yes…
Becca is actually from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and although residing in Brooklyn nowadays, a wedding back home was a no brainer. We’re happy they did. We arrived to the hotel where they were getting ready, and after getting to meet everyone officially and meeting Noodle for the first time, we set off for the ceremony location, Baton Rouge’s very own Burden Museum and Gardens Orangergie. This place is just filled with character and life.
We set to have their first look in the rose garden across the street from the ceremony, and it was such an amazing experience watching these to react to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. Noodle even decided to make an appearance and while taking a few photos of them strolling, he showed everyone how excited he was for his parents to get married by running laps around them.
We were blown away at their ceremony. Becca and Cameron tried putting their own twist to everything about this wedding and we loved it all. They asked all of their guests to grab a drink and huddle around where they would make lifelong commitments. They knew it was not about tradition, but about who was their and remaining close to these people. High five, guys. You get it.
Everyone made their way to the reception just a few feet away and danced into the night. At one point during the reception, one of Cameron’s groomsmen got up and gave a speech, only to be followed by a surprise band performance by his groomsmen, a.k.a. Cameron’s band members, playing an old song Cameron had written years ago. Cameron and his friends are in a band back in Brooklyn, New York who happen to play at wedding receptions. This was not new territory. Cameron eventually got up there as well and they serenaded the crowd into the night. These people and their friends and family, truly know how to have a party. Than you guys for having us and we wish you both the best!
