“If you love New Orleans, she’ll love you back.” -Drew Brees
There is something about this wonderful city that cannot be put into words. They say there are places that pull you in, engulf you, refine you. New Orleans has a vibe like no other, taking everything that comes it’s way and put a personal twist on it.
Nola, you’re alright.
When our couples feel the same way, we could literally high five them for it. This city, this place was just as special to Anna and Ryan. Originally from Canada, these two moved to New Orleans because the city meant so much to them. So it was only fitting to have their wedding here too. Anna and Ryan chose to go a more intimate route with their special day, so they invited close friends, family, and their adorably sweet pup Daq to celebrate during this special time in their lives with them at the Beauregard-Keyes House right in the heart of the French Quarter. These two were down for whatever and threw tradition right out the window. There was no official first look by any means, they just wanted to see each other and hang out with their family and friends, which is such a beautiful thing because you could truly see their comfort in each other. We watched as everyone hung out and sipped on champagne before it was go time.
Anna and Ryan wanted their wedding to take place after the sun went down, which added to the romantic feel they were going for. The only light we had was trickling in from candlelight selectively placed around the gardens where they got married, but they didn’t care. Which was such a beautiful thing. You could tell they wanted to get married because of the other, and that’s what it should always be about. After exchanging vows, everyone filed into the courtyard behind the Beauregard-Keyes House and enjoyed the wonderful food and drinks and shared laughs and stories with everyone present. What a beautiful and intimate wedding to be a part of. Thank you Anna and Ryan for having us.
These are so so amazing!
