This wedding was out of this world.
We had met Jena and Brandon prior to their wedding day, and hit it off on so many levels. We love working alongside easy going folks, and Jena and Brandon are definitely that. When we arrived, the temperature was dropping quickly, which only added to the feel of their day in our opinion. Jena and Brandon decided to have a backyard wedding on Jena’s mother’s property, and we are happy they did. Every inch of the property is covered with big oak trees, flowers, buildings filled with character, and all of this sits on the bayou. Upon walking into Jena’s mother’s home, we were welcomed in with open arms and warm smiles. Everyone was relaxed and was enjoying each other’s company. While we hung out inside admiring Jena’s Daughter’s of Simone dress and swooning over her henna tattoos and other details, the ceremony and reception spots were coming together so nicely.
When it came time for their first look, we headed over to an adorable vintage green pickup truck parked right out front and watched Jena and Brandon have their moment. We then headed into the road with an open field with moody clouds as a backdrop for portraits of the two of them, followed by a quaint stroll through the property for more pictures. When couples set aside time for photos of just them, we get all giddy inside. Set aside the time. You don’t want your wedding day to be such a blur that you forget what it’s really about: the two of you. Jena and Brandon got that. High fives, guys.
After portraits of the two of them, a sweet cocktail hour immediately followed to kick things off and prepare guests for the ceremony that was to come. Their backyard ceremony was one of the sweetest things we’ve seen, so quaint and personal. So sweet and intimate. After exchanging vows, it was off to the party under the tent. Guests were greeted with a globe to sign in on, along with photos to glance at while waiting and the sweetest dessert bar we’ve seen. Dancing filled the night and everything ended with a fireworks show at the end. So much work was put into making this day so special and we’re sure it was a success. Thank you Jena and Brandon for letting us be a part of your special day.
This was one of the most beautiful weddings I ever attended. This is my Great – Great Niece and her husbands wedding. The weather could have been a little better but everything else was super nice. I would like to congratulate them both and wish them all the luck and happiness in the world.
