New Orleans Wedding at Race and Religious:

“You are the best thing I never planned.”

There’s so much to be said about these two. Lauren and Matt have an incredible amount of patience, kindness and strength that has encouraged everyone around them to stay positive and look at the bright side of things when there’s little light in our world. Lauren and Matt originally were supposed to get married back in March at the start of this year, but with obvious circumstances surrounding COVID and mandatory lockdowns, they decided to just postpone their big day to later in the year. Over the course of the summer leading up to September, we highly anticipated their day, and finally it came. And it was magnificent.

We arrived to Race and Religious only to be greeted with the sweetest of smiles, positive vibes and happy tears that we all had to hold back. Lauren got ready with her closest friends and family surrounding her and Matt was just on the other side of the property doing the same. They had their first look, which was by far one of the sweetest moments to witness, as Matt saw his beautiful bride for the very first time. Tears may or may not have been shed for this one.

Lauren and Matt did decide to downsize their day, but their intimate day was something really special. They thoroughly enjoyed the fact that they could talk to everyone one of their guests without rushing off to the next. It was a decision they didn’t regret one bit, and we agree too.

We were so crazy happy to see Lauren and Matt so excited to just finally be married, no matter the circumstances and it was a reminder to us of the reason we do what we do. Love is limitless. It has no stipulations. No boundaries, no “only if’s”. It’s warm and it’s lighthearted. It’s given freely and cherished deeply. Love is hard to put into words, but when you’ve got it, don’t let it go. Let it run wild.
