Wedding at Ogden Museum of Southern Art | Chelsea and Luke
“You don’t marry someone you can live with. You marry the person you cannot live without.”
New Orleans, Louisiana does something to you. The city is powerful. It pulls you in, lifts your spirits and moves you. And let’s be totally honest, New Orleans is so much fun. It’s obvious why Chelsea and Luke decided to get married here.
We met these two at the Windsor Court Hotel where they and their closet friends and family were hanging out. After some time cracking jokes, getting ready and sharing loads of laughs, we headed out to the wedding at Ogden Museum of Southern Art, where Chelsea and Luke would be exchanging vows shortly. We were completely blown away at this place. The held their ceremony in the Patrick Taylor Library and it was magical in there. Everything about this room was amazing, from the romantic vibe it gave down to the history it told. What a perfect spot for a ceremony. After making lifelong promises to each other and making us cry tears of joy with them as they became husband and wife, we quietly snuck up to the attic where we spent some time taking photos of the two of them alone. Let’s be clear: being in an old attic with your suit/dress on in the middle of July in Louisiana is not pleasant. But when we told Chelsea and Luke that the lighting was perfect up there and asked if they wanted to venture up there, they trusted us completely and we are so happy they were totally down for a little adventure. Thank you guys again for making it through the heat. You two are the absolute best. The rest of the night was filled with dancing, laughter and love.
I don’t think we’ve ever met a happier couple in the history of ever. Chelsea and Luke emit such a rare form happiness and joy, and it’s so easy to see why everyone just adores them so much. We had been eagerly anticipating this day for most of the year. It wasn’t because of the wedding itself, which was absolutely and totally, crazy awesome, but it was because of their connection with each other. We have never seen two people so in sync with the other, and when you see it, it’s magic. Chelsea and Luke are so in tune with each other and you can see it in every frame. You two have really set the bar when it comes to love. It is difficult to put into words how inspiring you two are to us. We will be telling folks about your day and your chemistry for years to come.
