Stanton Hall Natchez Mississippi Wedding: Claire and Justin

Stanton Hall Natchez Mississippi Wedding: Claire and Justin

“We were together. I forget the rest.” – Walt Whitman

We first met Claire and Justin this past April for their engagement session at her parents home in Natchez, Mississippi and immediately we hit it off. We laughed for a good 2 hours with them as we wandered around her family property and drove over to the Mississippi River to watch the steamboats roll through and the sun set on all that was blooming in the area. We knew their wedding day would be even more memorable, especially when Claire mentioned several times in her wedding day timeline that she couldn’t wait to PARTAY. Heard that, sista.

We arrived to Stanton Hall where everyone was getting ready early that afternoon, and was greeted with the most excited grin from Claire. Everyone was so pumped for the day. After wrapping up hair and makeup, Claire and her mom walked over to the main building to get in her dress. We love it when brides spend a moment like this with their mom. Most mothers dream of this day for their children and to share a quiet moment together like that is irreplaceable.

After Claire and Justin finished getting ready, it was time for their first look in front of the house, and it couldn’t have been more sweet. After sharing yet more laughs together, we snuck the two away for some much needed portraits before it was go time. Brides to be, please don’t forget how important it is to set aside time for portraits. You’ve planned this day for such a long time, you’ve anticipated what it would all look like, how everyone would feel, how it would all come together… But nothing screams memorable more than a photo of you and your groom, something you can pass down for generations. It’s a photograph you deserve to have taken.

It was finally go time. We hopped on the trolley with the bridal party and headed over to their ceremony where friends and family congregated and watched these two sweet people vow to spend forever together. After the ceremony, we hopped back on the trolley and headed back to Stanton Hall where cocktail hour kicked off the festivities, followed by great food, amazing tunes and sweet dance moves. Everyone had a good time, you could tell the moment you walked into the room. What an amazing day. Congratulations you two! Thank you both for having us there to document your special day and all the precious moments it held.
