Engagement session on lake pontchartrain in south lousiana

What a fun evening this was. We love it when our couples think outside the box for their sessions. Especialy since there’s so many awesome spots to choose from and explore right in your very own home state. When trying to come up with a location for Lindsey and Gavin’s engagement session, she suggested Fontainbleu State Park right near Mandeville, Louisiana. We’re so happy she chose to venture out here. Louisiana has such a wide variety of locations and scenery, and going are was definitely a nice change of pace.

When we all arrived to Fontainbleu State Park, we hopped out of our car and immediately hit it off with these two. We walked around the beautiful oak trees with the sun shining on them and making them glow a beautiful golden color, while sharing funny stories and watching them just enjoy each others company oh so much.

After spending a little while exploring through the greenery, we noticed the sun was beginning to go down, so we hurried excitedly to the beach on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain and walked along the shoreline, laughing together while watching the sunset on the water. I don’t think we’ve ever seen such a beautiful color in the sky, as it turned from a cotton candy pink to the calmest blue you ever laid your eyes on. It was truly something magical, and it was even more special getting to share that experience with Lindsey and Gavin. What a fun filled evening. We just can’t wait for the wedding next spring!
