“You give me the kind of feeling people write novels about.”
It’s hard to imagine sometimes how fortunate we are to journey alongside amazing people to that climatic event, the happiest day of their lives. Their wedding day. We couldn’t be more thankful to have journeyed alongside Anne Marie and Tyler. From the beginning, everything was effortless with these two. They meshed well with each other, and so did we with them.
We love shooting destination weddings, but we have a special place in our hearts for shooting weddings right here at home, in Lafayette, Louisiana. We had been highly anticipating their wedding for months and couldn’t wait to tell their story. We arrived at Tyler’s parents home where Tyler would be getting ready for the days festivities, and we were greeted by Anne Marie and Tyler’s pups, Kuba and Gracie, along with Tyler’s family and friends. Everyone was so kind and hospitable. After spending some time with Tyler’s family and groomsmen, we headed a minute down the road to La Marquise in Parc Lafayette, where Anne Marie was to get ready and the ceremony and reception were to be held later that night.
After Anne Marie finished getting dressed, it was time to get tucked away, as guests were beginning to arrive. We had yet to see an actual ceremony held inside, and after seeing how Anne Marie and Tyler did theirs, we recommend it to everyone. They wed in the bay room of La Marquise and walked over to the dance floor immediately following to start the party.
After some time went by, we pulled the two outside to take a breather and soak up some alone time and to take a few fun photos of just the two of them. Wedding days can fly by in an instant and it’s crucial to set aside time to reflect on what has happened so far, breathe, and soak up every minute of the bliss. So if you’re getting married soon, take notes and set aside the time. You won’t regret it.
Thank you Anne Marie and Tyler for being so wonderful throughout this journey. We hope to work with more couples who are just like you both: fun loving, chill and most importantly, deeply in love.
These are beautiful shots!
Thank you!
